Tidewater Arts Outreach
About our organization
Tidewater Arts Outreach is a nonprofit organization founded in 2003 to bring music and arts to hospitals, retirement homes, rehabilitation centers, homeless shelters, and other facilities throughout Hampton Roads.
These performances and programs promote human interaction, happiness, and healing for people who have limited access to the arts because of health, economic, or social circumstances.

Shoot For Good Day Details:
On October 8th at 2:30pm, Tidewater Arts Outreach and Kaliki’s Dancers are presenting an interactive Polynesian dance program to residents of Consulate Healtcare of Norfolk. . We find the most successful programs are those that engage participants—no matter what the age or ability—in the process of creating art—whether that is by singing, dancing, playing an instrument, telling a story, reciting poetry, or painting. Kaliki’s Dancers will encourage residents and staff to participate in some “hand hula” and simple games, and will welcome those who are able and willing to mimick the dances.
Individuals residing in long term care residents must grant a photo release for images to be used. Some residents may refuse to be photographed.
