About our organization

KNB is the recycling and litter prevention agency for the City of Norfolk. We are housed in the Ernie Morgan Center, located in Lafayette Park, just in front of the Virginia Zoo. Our building is the old park concession stand, remodeled to be an example of sustainable building techniques, and is surrounded by a beautiful EcoGarden. Visitors to the Center and garden will have wonderful opportunities to catch great photos of native plants and wildlife (the butterflies and birds are having a great time at the moment!) The interior of the Center will not be accessible; the exterior of the building has features such as rain barrels and solar panels that could make good photo subjects. The park itself will be filled with visitors and athletic teams.

Directions: Turn into the Virginia Zoo entrance and take the first left. The Ernie Morgan Center is a single-story, brown-shingled building at the end of the parking lot.
