Hoffler Creek Wildlife Foundation
About our organization
The mission of Hoffler Creek Wildlife Foundation is to conserve the last parcel of wilderness in the Hoffler Creek watershed for environmental education, research, and recreation consistent with good stewardship. The foundation operates the 142-acre Hoffler Creek Wildlife Preserve located in the Churchland area of Portsmouth. The preserve is a suburban wilderness set aside for plants and animals at the heart of the Chesapeake Bay’s unique ecosystem. Diverse habitats and abundant wildlife spark the imagination, inviting visitors to explore their natural heritage through science, history, and the arts.
